| HPV and Cervical Cancer - What Women need to know in 4 easy steps
HPV (the human papillomavirus) causes cervical cancer. It does not necessarily develop into the disease. Cervical cancer can be prevented if:
1. Girls should receive the HPV vaccine.
2. Regular paps should be performed with a liquid kit because it provides the most accurate results.
3. Women thirty and over should receive a liquid pap smear and ask for an HPV test.
4. You ask your Doctor for an annual reminder.
