| | | my tips for dry wavy hair yea, I have very annoying wavy, dry, frizzy hair. I finally found a way to manage it:
- wash with a very gentle shampoo from the pharmacy, try Klorane. Very gentle products.
- each (!) time I wash my hair I use a mask. yes, EVERY TIME, because my hair really needs it. I like Dove's Intensive Repair or sth (dark blue jar), I also love Aussie 3 Minute Miracle but can't find it any more now that I'm back in Europe. I also like Ultra Doux masks (I think you can only find this in Belgium and France though). But any drugstore mask will do really, nothing really fancy. But don't use pantene or fructis of course!
- condition hair (I currently use the Dove conditioner that matches the mask. so the intensive repair one. I also like Ultra Doux conditioners, or the Dutch brand Andrelon conditioner for dry hair.
I treat my hair very gently. I only brush my hair when I wash it and I use a wide toothed Conair comb (it's plastic but a good kind of plastic cos it's specifically to avoid breakage and stuff) and I brush while there is conditoner in my hair!
Then I put my hair in a towel (gently, when it's still dripping wet. DON'T RUB YOUR HAIR WITH THE TOWEL!! very very bad). I take off the towel after five miutes and comb it through again.
Then I put on some John Frieda's Frizz-Ease Extra Strenth (purple bottle). mainly on the length, not too much on the roots or your hair will be greasy!
Next I put on a bit of the L'Oreal Hot Straight milk, even if I won't be straightening my hair, because it makes it soft and less frizzy and if I do end up wanting to straighten my hair, say the next day, it's kinda protected.
Then I use a tiny bit of John Frieda Secret Agent on the tips.
THEN I comb my hair again and part it, and I spray some Redken Fresh Curls Curl Boost (it's a gel in a spray bottle, dark blue). I only spray this on the lower length and tips of my hair and I DON'T TOUCH IT ANY MORE. I then hang around for like 3 hours (my hair takes ages to dry) until my hair is almost dry, and then I sleep on it (if I go to bed with really wet hair it's really flat in the morning with frizzy waves)
and voila. my hair is finally healthy with cool waves.
I don't get any buildup from these products, but you can always do vinegar rinses if you get buildup.
Hope this helps anyone. |

I think the towel thing might be why my hair gets frizzy. |

| | umm. I usually wash my hair every other day. and it really doesn't take that long. in the shower I just shave while the mask is on my hair. and then while the conditioner is on I just wash my body....
and then putting on the products also goes pretty fast. I put the L'oreal thing and the John Frieda secret agent together (they're both knda the same consistency). I'm so used to it it goes pretty fast.
the having to wait until it's dry enough to go to sleep is annoying though. I mean, right now, due to circumstances, I have absolutely no life, but I will be starting uni soon and will get very busy, so it'll be a problem then, but yea....lol. gosh, I make such a big deal out of this. hehe, sorry, I know it's just hair but for me it's great because with simple products I finally have nice hair (and nice skin, but that's a whole other story, and my skin routine is also quite extensive. If anyone wants to know about how I got my bad acneprone ski with acne scars healthy, let me know, and I'll make a thread about it.) |

I don't know how to spell that.) rub my hair when it was wet ad it would just "poof" ad it was soooooo dry and broken. a lot of people give the tip to treat your hair like an antique piece of lace. now, I wouldn't go as far as to do that, but I do really try to treat it gently. |

Oh, forgot something! Get a satin pillow case! You won't get (as many) tangles and it's great for dry hair or if your hair is prone to breakage. has helped me a lot. I bought 2 cheap oes at ross dress for less they're light purple, lol, ugly ad trashy as hell but they're funny and help my hair...and they're SEXY! lmao |

| | | Good tips! Wavy hair is the worst! I have one mountain of products if I want to wear it straight and another if I want to (try) to wear it semi-curly. Both are a crapshoot.
I will definitely try the mask though.
I don't know if anyone else has had a hard time finding a hair dresser who knows how to cut wavy hair? I'm on my fourth one in three years who FINALLY will listen to me when I tell her that my hair is not straight...it looks straight when it's wet but it dries super wavy. Ugh. |

| | I've started to fall in love with Dove Products myself. the shampoo and conditioner are pretty cheap and they smell heavenly.
I only brush my hair when it's wet
and NEVER blow dry. It becomes huge.
I just let mine air dry
curling mouse is the best. Make sure not to get volumizing
treseme makes good stuff. It's a black can.
and the orange, got2b kinky.
the best is... you can put a shit load in and it doesn't dry out your hair..especially the treseme one.
I guess this is a bit simpler.
the mouse works best on wet hair, but sometimes I retouch it when it's dry.
if you do need it use the john frieda stuff. It personally doesn't work on mine...but
Yeah...and I have pretty huge frizzy, REALLY wavy hair... so this works.
