| | | fragrance finders? i'm seriously looking for my dream perfume which would include peach and plumeria notes, but i can't find it anywhere. the paris hilton perfume has peach, but not plumeria and smells cheap. and plumeria perfumes only seem to come from Hawaii and are essential oil or other stuff.
does anyone know where i can use a fragrance finder to search for a perfume containing these two things, or does anyone know of a perfume that has both peach and plumeria? or a make-your-own perfume place that's not super pricey? |

| | plumeria is frangipani, right? Valentino's "V", Kenzo Amour and CK Summer have frangipani in them. But I'm not sure if you can remarkably smell it or if it's just one note among others.
how about mixing two different fragrances? i do that sometimes...
what i also would recommand: if you cant find a scent with both ingredients, use i.e. a peach body lotion and wear it with a frangipani perfume.

| | | yuo're my hero!
i had no idea that plumeria had another name. and i searched it and found out that Versace Women is mainly plumeria (frangipani) scented.
thanks! i'm going to go check it out tomorrow at Nordstrom. |

| | | it was gross. i went to Sephora and tried a bunch.
Versace women sortof smelled like... cheap nothing? i dont know it had a very alcohol-based smell that overpowered the perfume notes, and what i did smell was super harsh and sortof boring.
anyway, i got a teeny purse-size ralph lauren romance to try out for a while. it has no plumeria nor peach, but i liked it. |

| | I don't know if they have the notes you're looking for, but the Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab site has a search function.

since as you mentioned, some of the things you smelled were too harsh, you may want to go to a health food store (whole foods for example) to buy the essential oils of the fragrances you love. mix a few drops with a bit of carrier oil (such as castor, almond, grapeseed, etc and i don't know the exact measurements but i'll look it up for you in a sec). voila, your own personal perfume without all that disgusting alcohol smell. |

| | I'm not sure if it would help when you don't have a perfume you really love, but http://www.sephora.com has a search function where you can look for perfumes by putting in one that you like. They list the notes in the perfumes, too. |

| | | i didn't find a whole lot of recipes that didn't call for distilled vodka, but i did find a few that are as i described. it looks like the measurements for yours would be something like 4-5 drops peach fragrance oil or essential oil if you can find it, 4-5 drops plumeria fragrance/essential oil, and 2 teaspoons carrier oil. most instructions advise to keep the mixture in a small dark glass vial with a dropper.
also, keep in mind that essential oils can be irritating to sensitive skin so you may need to dilute them with more carrier oil. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
