My hair's gone all wavy

Is there any way when you've straightened your hair that you can make it stay like that, even if it gets wet or encounters a stiff breeze or whatever? I don't want to load it up with product but it's fucking homosexual when it goes all fluffy like this.

I have nice cheap straighteners that are like £5 from Tesco. But will more expensive ones actually make any difference to what happens when the rain gets on it? Because me having fluffy hair is worse than the Holocaust.

maturity makes me loathe the hair straightener trend. embrace your waves and curls ladies. use products to smooth the frizz if necessary, but what is soo great about stick straight hair? especially if you have to repress it and damage it to acheive the look. why is this in the void? is it because of the quirky vulgarish title??
