hair bleach help pls

my hair is currently bleached.
the roots are starting to grow out, and it's looking trashy and i want to dye it back to a colour close to my natural colour, which is medium brownish.
so i plan to buy a box oif hair dye at the pharmacy.
there isn't any reason it should go a weird colour, is there? if i put a regular box dye of my bleach (which was done at a salon) is there any chance it will go orange or have some weird reaction?

please help me, i can't have weird hair, i have job interviews next week

well, last time i dyed over my bleached hair i picked a sort of aubergine colour
it looked great for about 5 washes then started washing out at an alarming rate, despite it being 'permanant', it ended up an awful colour & i had to leave it to grow out.i ended up bleaching it again though, ha.anyways, the woman at the salon advised me that if you're dying over bleached hair, don't go for a red shade because it wont hold properly.you should be ok if you're going for a brown, but be aware that it might not turn out exactly how it should.

thanks, i'll definitely avoid reds. i wasn't planning on that colour anyway.
i don't want anything too dark or drastic anyway.

whenever ive dyed brown over bleach it kind of fades easy and you can see the bleach through the brown (and its rank) so i have to dye it twice in a month to fully make sure the bleach is covered and after that its okay.

haha if it does, it's really not that bad anyway. just another box helps so you deffo cant see the bleach and it goes the colour on the box.

if you use brown over bleach blonde, you run the risk of it going a kind of kahki colour, which isnt the nicest colour for hair.
as for not using reds over bleach, i was told the opposite>
when you bleach the hair the red pigment is taken away, and if you want to go brown you need to go red first or the brown wont hold because it needs the red pigment...that is why my hai went khaki green apparently!

yes i was just about to say that ladyshambles!
you need to dye your hair red first so the brown will hold and not turn green. i had my hair bleached horribly and when i went back to the hairdresser they had to dye my hair a BRIGHT red then put a dark brown over it. it actually looked rather nice
so yes. def go for a red/brown if u are going to do it yourself!!

just dont go TOO darkm lex. i wont hold on the bleach right away. after i bleached mine i went light brown--> medium brown and THEN dark brown and i still have a few blond streaks here and there where it was stubborn and wouldnt hold.
