my awful hair

hi guys

i know we have done this thread to death

but my hair has been bleached a lot, and now its ****ed. really damaged, snapping off etc.

I want to dye it darker so my roots will blend when they come out.

usually when i dye it after bleaching, the colour washes out and it's a horrible dull grey colour. obvs cos there is no pigment in my hair.

i kinda want a warm red brown colour. DARK!. i don't know what to do.

bear in mind:
1. im going to a ball on saturday so i need to do it before then
2. i cant afford a salon this week
3. im going to cut most of it off when i get paid next week

no mayonnaise. grow out your hair, then cut off the damaged ends. start fresh.
i have a license for cosmetology, if that makes me seem more credible.

i'm not j/k when i say my advice is wear a wig. what's the diff between that & extentions/weaves? not socially acceptable? **** them, people who don't accept how you look.

i started wearing a wig (i only do it rarely now, or when i'm home alone) when i grew my hair out & when it was short & i didn't like it.

it was given to me, idk how much it cost. it's human hair, looks natural, as it covers the hairline very well. it's the exact same color red i used to mix two colors to get, burgandy and a lighter red.

and the style is how i always tried to get my hair (straight w/a bit of wave), & i'll never have to cut it, so that saves much money. a good investment for bad hair days, too.

i'm wearing it now, before it gets hot. it makes me feel pretty
i have to wash my hair & it takes me hours, cos i have to section it, roll it up in jumbo velcro curlers & blow dry it with huge round brush to style/straighten. then add color. it's fun, usually.

thanks for your advice.

i plan to cut the hair and start fresh next week, when i get paid.

i considered a wig, but i also cannot afford one until i get paid.

i am going to a ball on saturday, so i just need to make my hair look normal for basically a week, then i will chop all the dead **** off.

i need to know the best way to darken my hair

i went to a thrft shop in a wealthy neighborhood & got a very nice, gently/never worn wig for $3.

maybe you can place an ad? some woman may have wigs she doesn't wear & you could fib a little & say you need this wig cos you're bald (for w/e reason, choice, or go the guilt route & say alopecia) & have this event to go to.
