HAIR thread.

ok. i'm back to blonde.
more a honey/natural blonde instead of platinum.

it's been 4 weeks since my last hair appt, and so there's alot of root out-growth as you can see, but we're trying to let my natural color (dirty blonde that gets progressively lighter as it grows/gets exposed) grow out under a top level of very mild highlights.
i've promised her i'll never use all over color again.





not that it really matters, because 90% of the time i wear my hair in a messy bun anyway. atleast now it's not platinum ends twirled up against a dark root (the root here looks darker than irl, or in the photos above. it's not that dark in person).
i also learned from this photo not to wear a black bra with a cream cardigan. bc it makes it look like you have backfat. (stress!)





this summer though... i'm going to get extensions (tracks!) so i can have rly long hair, and pretend i'm Blake Lively.

3 months later and i still have not gotten my color refreshed.

and since i have more of jlo skin tone i'm always looking admiringly at her highlight and color because it's perfect.

i need to save this picture here so i can print and take to my hairdresser since it's like 20 year reunion time each time i see her and for her to follow her own work is too grown out to rely on what it looks like by now.



at this point my hair just looks reddish brown with a bit of grown out highlight on the end.

(why is photobooth always so grainy. i'm too lazy to get out the real camera).

getting a hair cut tomorrow. im going to take this picture in and pretty much just say "this. i want this hair. except that i already HAVE this hair and you need to make it this short. and dont **** it up and give me a mullet"

does anyone know of a volumizer that works well on thin hair but DOESNT make them all dry and gross? pleaseeee help.

goodness its depressing reading the last page of this thread and seeing my posts saying "and NOW i'll go get my hair done" and "ok NOW i'll go get my hair done". still no hair done.

i am calling tomorrow, i don't care if i have to dip into savings to get my hair did.

i want this but i think i want to go a little more extreme version of that. more blonde highlight at the bottom like jessica alba circa 2 months ago and a tiny bit more highlight at the root. but not enough to have much blonde on top. only a few blended highlights. i also don't care if this style is old and played out. i want.
