| | | l'occitaine i just got their shea butter and shea butter tinted lip balm and think its lovely
but what about their other stuff?
like face scrubs . . . . .
are they miles ahead of the rest or overpriced for what they do
i work in lush so can get a great discount and think theyre products and almost perfect so is l'occitaine really as good as its priced? |

| | | i think l'occitane is really over-priced
i've never tried their face scrubs, but their soaps are pretty generic considering the price. |

| | | L'occitane is expensive, but how overpriced it seems depends on where you buy it, I reckon. In Nice, I went mad in one of their shops and bought loads without caring about what it cost. The shop was lovely and everything looked good. Back home in the UK, the products are on a display stand in my local department store and I can't face paying £12 or whatever for shower cream when there isn't even a counter with an overly made up assistant to convince me my life would be incomplete without it.
The bath and shower is stuff is fab though. |

| | | i've made my own shea butter salves and potted lip balms and they smell and work just as nicely as l'occitaine. having said that, i think they are WAY overpriced. |

| | | I love their angelica shampoo for dry hair (it's got gentler sulfates than others instead of just loading your hair down with more moisturizers, which I do with my conditioner anyways). It's pretty expensive, $16, but it's lasted awhile. I have a feeling that just using baby shampoo might do the same thing, though, since I assume the secret of the shampoo has more to do with its using gentler detergents than others (like baby shampoo does) than having angelica essence. I used the matching conditioner too, but it's more expensive than redken, harder to find and not as good, plus it makes my hair smell like patchouli. |

| | | Their lavender range for oily skin is terrific, and so are their shea butter-based products. I have yet to try their almond range, the smell is said to be amazing. Yes it's a bit pricey but I think it's worth it, just compare with other brands and you'll see the difference. I guess it's more expensive overseas too, here in Europe it's affordable. Plus they don't test on animals so I love them. |

| | | I love their honey stuff, especially the face mask. There again, Lush does Brazened Honey, which works as a scrub, too. Shame they don't do a honey perfume. I really covet the Occitaine one, but they're so expensive it's unreal. |

L'occitane is very expensive (maybe more in the usa) but they use the best things for their stuff |
