i don't really know the difference between being high maintainance and liking to look my best.
this is what i do:

hair coloured
eyebrows
facials
cleanser/moisteriser
waxing
makeup
body exfoliators
body moisterisers
manicure
nail varnish
perfume
teeth whitening

there's probably more that i've forgotten. tell me i'm not alone.

i dont' think anyone would look at me and think 'high maintenance'

i do 'personal maintenance' (bathing. lotion. shaving. wax.)

but i don't blowdry my hair. or wear makeup beyond some eyeliner, eye shadow, concealer and a bit of powder. i've been into RED lipstick the past week or so.


toenails painted once every couple of weeks during flip-flop season. never the fingernails though.

My definition isn't really about how much shit you do, but how freaking anal you are about it.

Like a friend I have who changes her clothes eighty million times a day and continues to straighten her hair long after it's all perfectly straight.

People who touch up their make-up constantly throughout the day and refuse to leave the house if they don't think they look perfect.

I mean, I always wear make-up when I leave the house, but I'll just throw it on and go. I don't stand there for two hours perfecting every single thing just so I can go buy some smokes.
