Ghd's

Obviously these are the best straighteners in the world, but does anyone notice that they stop working as good after a certain amount of time?
I've had a few pairs over the years and find that after about two years they don't straighten as well.
Time for a new pair I think which means forking out the cash again but oh well, I might go for a shiny black pair this time around.

I find this with loads of different brands of hair straighteners. My ghds, remingtons and another pair all decided to just randomly stop switching on after about half a year. Not sure why they do it, i liked ghd's but they tended to frazzle my hair!

No electronic item is designed to last forever. If you break it down into a cost per use factor, it's pretty cheap to own them.

ATM, I am in a self imposed "straightener free" zone. Despite obeying, like, ALL the cardinal rules surrounding straightening, my hair spazzed out so much I ended up having to lop off the lengths. Be that as it may, my hair is looking really good ATM and if I were to actually encounter me in my present incarnation, I'd quite possibly do myself.

OK, tangential, I admit. Crux of this post is that as far as straighteners go, I would absolutely recommend the Remington tourmalline plated ones with avocado oil infusion. I think GHD's are essentially overrated, as long as you get a brand that have coated plates, the "name" doesn't particularly factor into the equation if you get heat/protection in equal-ish measures. Still, I'm "detoxing" from straighteners for at least a month - no matter how much you try to protect your hair beforehand, regular use of irons WILL render the ends "crispy".
