Bump-Its (those hair things) actually work!!

I just got them and all i can say is where have they been all my life??

My hair is rly long, like past my waist but there are some layers there. and it's very fine and hard to style. But I do my best, and sometimes it works and many times it doesn't. thing is, i need to have something going on besides long, straight hair all the time or I look like a freakin Mother Earth Hippie or somthing. and i don't want rly crazy soccer mom layers either.

But i like my hair to be long....i don't look good with short hair. tried it and yuck. (and yep, i know i'm 47 and most say that "you are OLD you should have short Granny hair!! well fuck that. i'm not a grandma yet, and i don't feel old. so fuck that stereotype.)

So i've been seeing those "Bunp-It" commercials like forever, ya know, where you put the plastic thing across the crown of your head and it gives you that "bump" thing so i bought it tonight and OMG IT IS SO SIMPLE and MY HAIR HAS A WHOLE NEW SET OF STYLES!! It is sooo exciting!!! and it only cost $9.95 at Target.

So if anybody has been curious about those "Bump-its" on the commercials, I'm telling you that they work. So easy to put in, take out and you really can create some styles with far less ratting/teasing of yr hair.

I hate that a lot of women get to a certain age and cut off all of their hair. When my grandma chopped her's I was rather disappointed. I'm going to be a long haired lady for life.

Personally, the Bump It isn't really something I would ever use. There are probably quite a few really good styles you could get going with one of those things though. Probably a few really bad ones too, so be selective

i don't think i could get away with abusing the Bump its like they do in the commercials. It was the CONCEPT of the product, not the people modeling them, that's for sure!!.

Plus, my daughter (19) is in Cosmetology school and she won't let me leave the house if i look ridiculously wrong. she will literally break out the comb and hair spray and make me sit down and let her fix it.

re: the long hair/ageism thing: at her old Cosmo school up north before she moved down here, i went up there and she cut/colored my hair. The old ladies who ran that school were really nasty bitches. they made me really uncomfortable.

Sure enough, those hags started going off when i left. "your mother is too old for such long hair!! "when you become a mom and become older, it is so inappropriate to have that kind of hair, plus, it makes you look older than you are!! JUST WAIT TILL SHE TURNS 40!! SHE'LL SEE."

Joke's on them....and the kid was happy to point that out. "Um...she's 47." "Oh! well...wait til she's 50 then." yeah. we'll see. ugly old cunts. they actually were probably not much older than me, but JESUS!

I had no idea until lately that it was a rule.
