I hate my new hair...

For ten year I have been bleaching my hair, but, as I am gonna be 25 soon & looking desperately for a new job the bleach blonde hair & muchos roots went, in favour of a new, more natural blonde.

Admittedly, my hair really needed the cut (about 5 inches have been lopped off) and I asked for a natural blonde & even showed pictures.

MY HAIR IS NOW MY OWN NATURAL FUCKING COLOUR.

I HATE IT.

I CRIED FOR 2 DAYS.

I associate my natural hair colour with being really fucking ugly/gross & its making me feel icky.

But, I can't afford to have it done elsewhere (and, the lady who did it is my best friends fiance's sister..)...and for once I daredn't do it myslef (without advice from you good KR folk first)...

Because it was soooo bleachy and had about 2 inches of roots before it was done...so its had one colour all over, some warmer colour towards the ends as they were lighter, different colour on the roots to make them lighter and stupid brown lowlights everywhere, the final result being mousey brown, UGHHHH!

HELP ME PLEASE??

I have washed it about 20 times with anti dandruff shampoo (the worst thing you can do to coloured hair cause it removes colour)

but its still no lighter.

HINTS & TIPS WELCOME!!!

Can't you just go back to the lady and explain? Be diplomatic, say that you LOVE the cut but colour-wise the lowlights are more "light brown" than "blonde" and could she remedy it? Any good hairdresser will accept constructive criticism and not get arsey about it, after all, it's in their best interest to keep customers - one "negative" experience at a hairdresser results in at least five friends hearing about it, on average.

EDIT: I see you're in Leeds, why don't you call into Vidal Sassoon or some equally reputable "name" hairdresser and ask if they are looking for models? All the work is supervised by a senior stylist. You may be there for hours while the teacher talks the student through the process, but it only sets you back about £5. Whatever you do, please don't faff around with colouring yourself, you sound as if you've had loads of chemical processing done already so don't tempt fate.

Champers, the lady who does my hair is in London for a while...and, I already did exactly that (LOVE the cut, too dark) & she took it quite well, but made her holiday excuses & said I should wait a while so it doesn't become over processed.

The salon idea is *excellent* & I shall try it this Saturday!
&yes, normally I would bleach over it but my hair has already been faffed around with so much I daredn't!!

THANK YOU!

I will let you know what happens from Brunette back to Blone...x
