My hair gets in RIDICULOUS knots. I have blonde, fine, dry hair btw. "baby" hair. It's quite long, past my shoulders (down to my tits basically).

I can't wear my hair down because whenever I do the hair at the back of my neck gathers in a huge, dreadlockesque lump and then I have to spend the whole evening with a wide tooth comb and a bottle of conditioner to fix it. I use serum on my hair when I dry it but it doesn't really help. Sometimes I also have that huge kink at the back of my neck when I wake up in the morning. I'm getting tired of it. I don't want to cut my hair short-short though, because it's taken so long to grow it out.

Do any of you have any advice? Some sort of spray or conditioner to use? Something? tired of having sheepdog fur instead of hair at the back of my neck/head.

i feel your pain. if i dont brush my hair every two hours or so it does the same thing.
mine is extremely thick and wavy.
i wish i could say i could offer good advice but i havent figured out how to keep my hair from doing this either.

i have the same kind of hair, and the only thing that helped was chopping it off haha

i had a perpetual knot on my head at the back, now i only have a long bit at the front and even it kinks up sometimes

i find overconditioning actually makes it WORSE - like before i cut it off, and even no, i only condition every third wash or something cause when it's tooooo clean it knots up like fuck. i also like this schwarzkopf finishing spray - i think it's called gliss or something (you can get it for a quid in boots at the minute) cause it is less producty than a serum but kind of does the same thing and also acts like a hairspray a wee bit. plus it smells class

when my hair was much longer i used to get that knotty shit too! it was annoying. the only thing i can suggest is regular brushing? wearing it in a loose plait or ponytail when you sleep also helps.

at night, try wearing your hair on the top of your head
flip your head forward, tying your hair in a ponytail and tuck it in a second time

that's what we,my daughter and i, have to do at night

we don't brush or comb our hair at all (except the day of haircut/once every 3 months)
it's all about the conditioner
