Recently I was asked by my hair stylist if I would be his model for hair shows. I agreed as it sounded exciting..then sort of forgot about it until when he phoned me and left me a message asking me to model for an up and coming show. I haven't phoned him back yet as now i'm slightly nervous...he started to talk about putting some colour on it. My hair at the moment is bleach blonde, as it has been for around three years and i like it that way....I'm really stressing that if i agree, he'll dye it some horrid shade
Has anyone ever done this?? If I agree, do I have any say in what he does to my hair? Also, it could be quite exciting....

yes I will be paid..not sure how much and in some magazine too..

I've only done it for training hairdressers, once. I had it coloured red and black, they did it brilliantly and i really liked it. If your having big doubts about doing it just say no and give him a chance to find someone else to model. But he could do something really nice that you'll love- all luck i suppose and how good you are at adjusting to hair change.

okay, a few reasons i think you should definitely do it:

- if it looks bad (like you fear), it is
a) temporary
b) free of charge + pay

- you say you've had the same color for three years and like it. while that may sound like reason to decline, i'd say its even more reason to take up this cool and unusual excuse to try something new.

- what he'll be doing to your hair will be a showcase of the best of his abilities and will affect his career. seems like he would be fucking himself a lot harder than you if he made you look hideous.

so do it! and post pics!

It's not so much the colour they do it more so the cut. Perhaps call them and ask what style they're going for. In theory it sounds wicked but in practise you may end up with a terrible cut.

But at least its a change?

And it'll grow out if you don't like it??

Unless they're after some cyber mullet, i would do it.

You might not like it, but it might just as well turn out lovely! And you won't have to pay for it.

just keep in mind that sometimes the cut/colour they do will look awesome in a show/photoshoot. but back in the normal world it could look absolutley awful. and you walk down the street and people are like can you ask that maybe instead of getting paid after the show can he give you a cut/colour that you want? freebies are good.
