| | | Hair model...advice please! This evening I was having coffee with a friend when I was approached by a flustered woman holding a folder, who asked me if I could PLEASE be her hair model for her dye exam at Toni & Guy Academy tomorrow...
I said yes, because I need to get rid of my green/blue bits before my Oxford interview.... the thing is, it seems like she needs to dye hair to a "natural"-ish colour, so white blonde (my favourite non-rainbow hair colour) is out. Any suggestions for what would work? My natural colour is a dark brown and really washes my skin out and makes me look pale as death.

| | | If you are just the model, I don't know how much input you are going to have? If its not what you like, then just dye over it afterwards for your interview. |

| | | i'm with the last two posts. you'll more than likely have no say in this whatsoever. and it seems as though the situation is less hair model and more hair school guinea pig, in which case just pray she doesn't fuck up. |

| | | She said I'd get to choose from a chart. I guess this means she can't just go for the easiest to do. I've been dying my hair blonde/technicolour for so long I can't remember what suits me :s

| | | Don't go for black, there are only a rare few people who that looks really well on and it's hard to dye over. What is your natural colour to begin with? If you dye your hair alot then maybe you should just be nice to the girl and let her guide you and do whatever is easiest for her and what she thinks will suit you - you can always dye over it unless it's too dark. |

| | | I think I'm just happy to be a guinea pig as long as it comes out okay.

| | | i got approached the other day too. however the woman wasn't flustered. i hope she is not going to be the woman cutting your hair. from my personal experience they do you hair how they need it to be for it to be marked by the examiner. one girl who was with me triedtoget the hairdresser to do things "her" way, but she had to leave. |
