| | | How to style bangs I have a straight fringe (the sides are a little longer so they blend into the rest of my hair).
When I blowdry with a round brush they are too round and look weird (I'm very bad at using hair appliances) and when I use a straightener they're too straight and limp and ugly.
Maybe it's because my bangs are not thick enough though...
I was thinking about going to the hairdresser and really getting a full fringe.
but how do you style straight bangs? |

| | | Yeah mine don't look good curled or straightened, either, but they look fine when they just dry naturally, and if I want them to look a little nicer I put a little Aveda shine crap in them and blow dry them on low from a safe distance, kinda to the side and then the other side and then straight down. |

| | | when I had mine, I just centre parted it and used loads of clips to clip it to the side and let it dry naturally. I have weird hair and dont know how that works for everyone. |

| | | I just dry mine naturally and wear it to the side, sometimes I clip it to the side. I think fuller fringes, that start further back on the top of your head look nicer. If you know what I mean? |

id say wash your hair before bedtime, dry it and straigten it a tiny bit not properly, then sleep on it., and add a tiny bit of wax to it in the morning,
i swear slept on hair works better than freshly washed

| | | yea. I always wash my hair in the evening because it tends to get a bit poofy (like there's too much air in between my hairs? it's weird...my hair needs to "clump" mor...haha.) and then i sleep on it or even when I just sit in my bed and put my hair between my head and a pillow it gets nice. it's weird. haha; but at least I don't have to blowdry or straighten that way.
now I did something weird. I used the straightener on my fringe but i kinda moved the straightener as if I were rounding my fringe and now it looks good actually... not too round and not too straight.
I'm gonna have my fringe cut fuller like hedgehog said though...
kinda like Liv Tyler maybe?
I'm so tempted to dye my hair a nice brown color but I hate color upkeep.... |

And my natural blonde color used to be really pretty but over the years it has darkened and it's this undefined color now...I really don't like it.
but I'm growing my hair long (mid-back at least) so I'm gonna wait until I get to my goal length and if I'm still not happy with the color I'll probably start dyeing... |

| | I know how you feel. I dye my hair brown and I'm naturally dirty blonde but I hate the roots problems.
Once you start dying though it's too hard to stop. |

| | | Me too. I'm dirty blonde and forever I've been having highlights then this Wednesday I got a mix weave of light light blonde and brunette, it's pretty - looks like ash blonde, but I'm considering going full-on brunette.
On topic. I agree with bookstore's sleep on it idea and also recommend you get a blow-dry and watch the stylist like a hawk while she does it. I've learnt loads from watching mine. I love your glasses btw. |

| | | When you use the straightener, just go over the fringe really lightly & when you get to the ends, just curl them under slightly, so they don't looks like pins. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
