Is dying your hair alot bad for curly hair?

I've got naturally curly hair and recently I've dyed my hair alot--a year and a half ago I bleached it blonde (professionally). Then 2 months ago, I dyed it black and blue and I've had to redye it twice since then because it kept fading-so I've dyed it 3 times in 2 months.
Meanwhile, my hair hasn't been as curly the last 2 months, I'm thinking that my hair must be getting tired of being dyed so much.
Does anyone know if dying alot is bad for curly hair?

Dying hair a lot is bad for any type of hair, I would assume. I've heard that curly hair is often more dry than straight though so... I guess that could be something to keep in mind when dying it, especially with bleach.

How the dye actually effects the curls and texture or your hair specifically, I dunno. Sorry!

Dying your hair too much is pretty much bad for all types of hair, and I don't think it's any worse for curly hair than straight. Curly hair will just react differently.

My theory is bleach makes your hair do the opposite of what it usually does, my hair was naturally poker straight & now after years of bleach it's naturally wavy.

thanks for the thoughts, guys. i don't actually think it was the bleach that affected it, because i did that a year and a half ago, and had just been doing the roots since then. and it hadn't been affecting my curls at all. it's just since i've dyed it blue and black three times in the last 2 months that it's been less curly. i think it must just be tired of getting dyed so much, in such a short period of time.

How old are you? (as creepy as that sounds...)
Because it could be hormones...like if you were 14 or so when it was straight and then puberty made your hair wavy - I dunno.
