Has anyone tried this? Its powder foundation made from natural minerals which is supposed to be really light on the skin but gives the coverage of a liquid foundation.

I was totally mesmerized by the Sheer Cover infomercial thats on in the mornings! There was a girl who had a big birthmark on her face and it completely covered it without it even looking like she had make up on!!! (yes im such a sucker for these things!)

I think im gonna try it when i get paid. I've never found a foundation i really like. I have quite blotchy red skin so i need good coverage but the Estee Lauder one i use right now is quite heavy.

i am a recent mineral convert! i dont like liquid makeup cause im crap at it, and you really can apply it as light or heavy as you need, without it looking cakey cause there's no talc in it. i have really pale skin and freckles, and i can completely cover them if i apply just a tiny bit more.

the brand i like is www.lilylolo.co.uk - you can get samples pretty cheap to get the colour right etc

ALSO - invest in a great brush cause it makes all the difference!

Ooh thanks! i'll check out that site. The barefaced beauty site does a starter kit for £34 with a pot of foundation powder, finishing powder and the kabuki brush. Not bad?

I used to use a brand called lily lolo. It was amzing but then because it is a powder it started deting my skin and it got really bad. I might buy the bronzer again though for special occasions because that was amzing.

just ordered a heap of samples because if you recommend it i doubt it will be shit.
i got a bunch of eye crap a few blushes and foundation a setting powder and some other sparkley powder

is the l´oreal one any good? it's the only one sold here..

i use the bare minerals kind, and i like it although it had two set backs for me- the first is it doesnt cover my red face as much as i'd like so i have to put on some concealer beforehand. and then by the end of the day its worn off (i dont reapply at work and stuff liek that), but it looks really good when its fresh.

it has a nice shimmery quality, but i found that the shades weren't great - if you get one that matches your skintone it's pretty good (the tub packaging is kind of a pain though)

ema - i have sooo many blushes from lily lolo it's sort of embarrassing...

i ordered rouge because i dont have an obnoxious red blush. just a flushy pink stila one. but the rouge one looked tres classic.
i got some green sparkley eye shadows too.
i wish england was closer. my stuff would arrive so much faster

I was thinking of getting some of this stuff.... my mom has some and she looks 10 years younger when she wears it. It's unreal. No liquid makeup has ever done that!

i hate the sparkley stardusty powder i ordered. but i hate looking sparkley. so thats my fault.
the rouge is amazing.
do not love the eyeshadow. i will stick to mcqueen for mac i think.
but def ordering a fullsized foundation and powder.
and a brush

you're not applying it right then. it will cover anything. which brush do you use?

sigh. yes i am. and no it does not. i have the kabuki, plus the small max coverage concealer brush. Plus the other regular one. they even put it on in the store for me and it looked exactly the same as i did it.

see. i don't like the kabuki. i think it's shit and overrated. when i really need to make sure things are covered, i start with a foundation brush in the areas i need (for me i get red in the t zone and i do the undereyes while i'm at it). i sort of sweep across those areas. then i do all over with the heavenly face brush in the buffing way. then i go back and conceal with the concealer brush in a patting motion. sometimes i'll buff back over that too.

I caved, I ordered the 90 day Sheer Cover kit, it arrived yesterday and it is the BOMB! It covers a multitude of sins and looks as if you're not wearing any make up, it works with the oils your skin naturally produces and leaves a natural matte finish, really, you HAVE to get it!

i've been using it for a couple of years now and i love it. it makes my freckles look less obvious and doesn't dry out my skin the way some liquid foundations used to.
