Does there exist a lipstain that actually works, and does what it says on the tin? I've tried so many - Benefit, Stila, MAC, and now Revlon's new limited edition Just Bitten. The color's nice on Just Bitten - I got Blood Orange, which is exactly the color of blood - but I wouldn't exactly call it a stain - it was gone from my lips within an hour.

The MAC one is ok but it stings my lips, and doesn't really last as long as I like

The Stila one was actually lovely at first, the colors were good, and it stained your lips and stayed on for a while... but the applicator was flawed and dried out easily - I'd end up having to pull out the felt tip and flip it around, which is what they suggested if it got dry - then I'd end up with lipstain all over my fingertips, and it just eventually was too much of a pain in the arse, having to do that everytime I wanted to wear it.

Benefit is nice, but doesn't last long at all.

I just want something that'll last a decent amount of time - six or so hours would be nice - and that isn't a pain to apply. Does that even exist?

Max Factor used to make a great one that lasted all day, but it was discontinued a long time ago. I've never found one half as good since, so I'd like to know too.

Well I've bid on and won a lipstain by Mark for Avon... we shall see.

nars makes wicked lip stain. you're right benefit is garbage.
