| | | Eye make up for green eyes So, I have green eyes & I love eye make-up on other people, but I myself am completely hopeless when it comes to makeup. I really don't wear a lot to begin with, but when I do it's very basic black mascara, maybe a tiny bit of light colored eyeshadow kind of thing.
I really want to try eyeliner, I've always avoided it because I panic when things are by my eyes. My sister has tried doing it for me multiple times and it always ends up with me freaking out when she gets close to my eye & me getting poked with the pencil. I want to try doing it myself to see if I freak out less. What colors look good with green eyes? I'm too cheap to go and buy a bunch to "try" and then not like them. |

| | | i think if having stuff around your eyes bothers you then doing eyeliner yourself is probably the best bet... get used to doing it, then when your sister tries it hopefully it won't be as scary!
colors that look good with green eyes could be greens, golds, browns, corals, and i think even purple looks cool. try to get an eyeshadow palette that has a couple shades of the same color (two or three, ideally) then blender the lightest out from the corner closest to your nose to the outermost part (does this make sense lol.. i am confusing myself)... it looks really cool! |

| | | oh yeah what might make the eyeliner thing easier is instead of using a pencil or a liquid since you seem kind of nervous about it, instead get a black eyeshadow and a really thin angled brush, wet the brush and run it through the shadow. try that instead maybe! |

| | | I don't tend to listen to what colours suit my eye colour, so my eyeshadow ranges from black to orange, but the stuff that looks best on my (green) eyes in my opinion are golds and purples.

| | | My eyes are kinda blue-green so I'm half-qualified to answer.
Green's my favorite color. I wea light green eyeshadow with a kinda grey green accent around the crease. Dark green liner.
Occasionally I do pinkish eyeshadow with brown accent and grey liner.
Almay makes really great "play up your color" eyemakeup that helps you make your eyes pop. For Green eyes it's greens with plums. I have their little set but you could use the same colors from any line |

| | | yep, definitely purple. generally your best bet is to choose the complete opposite colour of your eyes. purple will make them look greener.

a bit of reddish tints make them stand out real nice. and true about the gold. or the 'apricot' color. |

i don't wear a lot of purple, but i really, really like bronze/brown eyeshadow. |

| | | Yes purple! like a aubergine plum shade. Bourjois do a lovely dark purple liquid eyeliner and green eyes could probably get away with a purple mascara, apparently navy mascara does similar with brown eyes. |

Generally the eyeshadow that I do wear is some shade of purple. I have a thingie with 4 different shades & I mix two of them together so it's not too light & not too dark. I think I may go to the store today & get some reddish color and a purple eyeliner - we'll see how this goes.
Thanks everyone for all of the replies, I didn't expect so many so soon. |

| | | Purple eye shadow is one of the best things to pair with your eyes. It brings attention to the colour of the irises.
