| | | how do I shampoo my hair? help me! i don't understand.
how long and thorough do you lather your hair with shampoo? does this damage your hair? and how long do you rinse it out for?
and as for conditioner, how do you rinse it out? i always rinse it out with hot water until my hair stops being soft. is this correct? or am I just damaging my hair and rinsing out all the good stuff? |

well. you should be rinsing the conditioner out of your hair in cold water. it seals the hair shafts so they hold in nutrients better. plus it makes your hair shiny.
as for shampooing, do it every other day and depending on how much hair you have lather for three to five minutes. (this may be a lot for some people, i just have a lot of fkn hair) make sure to rub your fingertips in your scalp (dont scratch, some people do this and its a leading cause of dry scalp). afterall when youre washing your hair you are also washing your head. |

on topic: use gentle shampoo! Only put it on your scalp and massage in gently. then wash out long enough and then put on conditioner |

Anyway, I seem to recall your hair being in pretty good condition from the pics you've posted. Whatever you're doing is probably fine.

You know, when you ask people how to do the most basic things, it would help if you explained why you don't know this stuff. |

| | | Lather up the shampoo and conditioner simultaneously on your dry hair into a big mass with suds completely covering it. Then sit under a heat lamp until it melts into your scalp and you cannot see any lather. Rinse twice, with ice cold water. Squeeze two grapefruits over your hair. Blow dry.

| | | I usually wash my hair for about two minutes scratching the hell out of my scalp because that is what the ladies at the salon do and it always leaves me dandruff free. I don't know if that is the proper way though. I only wash my hair like two or three times a week. When I add conditioner I leave it in my hair while I shave and wash the rest of my body, and when I am giving myself a pedicure. Then I rinse it off with cooler than warm water and that's about it.
I don't now if any of this is the proper way, but my hair looks fine. |
