so my hair is a retarded mess right now and i want to go platinum blonde on top, with dark brown underneath.. it used to be special effects ruby red on top and black underneath, but the black has grown out a bit and i let the red fade to shit. it is basically at that orange stage after bleaching, but i have pink roots.
anyway! first of all, it'll probably take a couple of bleachings+toner to get out the pink right? pinks a bitch.
second, to go from black to brown.. i'm assuming i have to bleach a bit but i also heard yer not supposed to put brown dye on bleached hair cause it'll go all greyish and shitty... but is that only on really lightly bleached hair?

you need to find a hairdresser who will do this for you, and ask their advice . i would start with bleaching highlights, and slowly adding more til it's all blonde. but i don't think you want to do that if your hair is pibnk and black now

It's more likely that it would work, if done right, than not though. |
