I want waves not curls

How can i get my hair to be like this?

what hair products do i need ect...cause my hair curls when i scrunch ti but i want it to be like this^

Try braiding your hair when it's wet, and let it dry. That tends to create waves rather than curls

someone read my mind, I like that style also. The only problem is how does a black girl get that style a la Courtney Love waves from celebrity skin
