I dye it myself...even if I could afford to have it done proper-like, I wouldn't want them smearing L'oreal muck over my head!

I usually cut it myself, too...but I also use my hairdressing scissors for all manner of household tasks so every so often I have to go and have the pro sort it out for me. But I mean, as if you could afford to get your fringe trimmed by a hairdresser every time it needed it.

My hairdresser is always horrified when I regale her with tales of DIY attempts...particularly alcohol-induced ones on my poor friends who I convince I have talent ahahah You shoulda seen my friend, Mickey, when I did his and he ended up with this Herman Munster-style blunt fringe bwohaha :bad person:

i generally dye my hair by myself, i don't really do highlights anymore.
but when i have the extra money and want to treat myself, i will get it done professionally.
when it comes to the cutting, i ALWAYS go to a pro.
i just don't trust myself.
i will likely fuck it up.

WELL! I am not entirely for real about jumping on a plane and coming to cut your hair! But I think I would like to see some of America. We did stuff about the Native Americans for GCSE and I loved it. You don't need any explanation as to why I'd like to thump Charles Murray though, eh

i get it cut professionally because i'm scared of screwing up, but i cut my bangs on my own. i used to get it colored professionally too, but i tried it myself and was happier with the color i bought in a drug store than when the stylist did it.

I generally dye it myself but have a professional cut it. Dyeing my own hair has resulted in some past dye casualties though, one time it turned a horrible purplish shade and I had to get it fixed by a professional.

I always get it cut professionally, but I never get it dyed at a salon. I don't see a reason why I should pay $100 for a dye job when I can do it myself for $10. It's not like I'm doing anything really complicated... I usually just dye my hair a reddish brown or black.

I always cut & dyed it myself, when I had really long hair.

But now that I wear it shorter, I go to a pro' so she can thin my hair out for me, cause it's so thick. I still do my own coloring though.

i dye/highlight and cut mine myself. sometimes i'll get my sis to help me with highlights at the back but usually i do it all myself.

i've just had way too many shitty experiences with hairdressers cutting it wrong/too short (despite bringing in a picture/talking about what i wanted) and fucking up dyeing it. i just find it easier to do it myself since i obviously know exactly what i want

i would never try to cut or dye my hair myself.
unless i wanted splotchy asymetrical hair.
