| | | Hair Straightening? Are there any do-it-yourself kits (solutions, chemicals, conditioners, etc.) available for straightening hair? I don't think my hair is long enough to use the ceramic hair straightening devices, and I don't really want to spend the $$$ to have it professionally straightened at a salon (yes, I'm cheap .)
My goal is just to reduce the waviness to make it more manageable.
Suggestions? |

| | | I know that herbal essences has a new series with their new collection called Dangerously Straight. It's the shampoo, conditioner, leave in cond, hair spray i think? The works. They have it in all rite aids and eckerds and cvs and stuff like that. pretty cheap too. i use it before i straighten my hair and it helps |

| | | Use a thermal setting spray, TreSemme makes a cheap one and Matrix Bolage makes one as well, they can make your hair feel better during/after being ironed. |

| | | I have those little "jewish" curls around my forehead and I straighten them with perming solution every few months [it's gentler and more effective than straightening stuff]. But I'm just doing to to get those pieces to blend in with the rest of my hair...I don't care if they get damaged or break off because they never grow too long anyway...I just want them to lie flat. I wouldn't recommend doing your whole head at once. Try it on a chunk of your bangs or something if you want to take the risk. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
