Flat hair

Lately my hair has been so flat and staticy (?). I don't know what to do with it anymore. I've posted about the static before and I started using dryer sheets on my hair (lol) and it helped a little bit, but it's still annoying. Also my hair is so flat. I'll wash my hair and dry it and it looks good but like an hour later it's flat to my head Does anyone have any tips to help the static and flatness?

when i was small my hair would get really staticy and my mom would spray this stuff, i think it was called static guard on the hair brush and it would take care of the static problem.

as for the flat problem, i've got nothing outside of a perm but no one under the age of 50 gets those.

Ok I'm going to try that static guard trick. I never thought of that.

ya know how you get hair spray, hair gel and stuff like that. well it's in that catagory but it's mousse, kinda foamy stuff. you just run it through your hair when it's damp or dry. it'd tell you on the bottle. you could also try getting a good thickening shampoo aswell, i think that would help. go into your local hairdressers they could probably advise you on what the good brands are and what aren't.

my hair always gets really flat, i think it just needs cutting again and then it'll be fine for a while. actually, i might get some of that mousse for myself.

The volumizing mousse idea is pretty good. TreSemme makes a new one called "Thermal Creations," the name is cheesy but I like it. It makes hair volumous without frying the hell out of it during heat styling. I would use a blow dryer with a round brush to add volume.

mousse is good, & blow drying it upside down gives my hair lots of volume
possibly too much

I'm rubbish with hair and stuff but aside from using hair products etc you could perhaps get you hair cut in layers.

If you get the layers to start pretty short it should give more volume to your hair as length kinda weighs it down (especially with long hair) and can cause it to be quite flat at the top. With layers you can get volume without losing the overall length

always blow dry the opposite direction on how the hair sits. i also used to use a big round curling iron just at the roots to give it a little lift.

but my hair for the most part still hates volume as well. so i'm not rly to go to person to get advice.

My hair already has layers haha. But I did buy that Tresemme mousse stuff and I've been drying my hair upside down and it's helped. Thanks for all the advice guys!
