I've been biting my nails since I was eight. I want to stop, and I've tried to stop; but, I've always failed at my attempts to stop biting my nails.

Does anyone have any tips to stop biting your nails? I can usually go a week and a half without biting them, but once they get too long, I just tear them off with my teeth.

keep em clipped short and file them to make sure there are no nicks.

i used to bite mine too but now all the ladies at work comment on how nice they are.

Nailpolish, even if they're short and stubby its the only thing that stops me biting mine.

get a manicure.
i notice i'm less likely to bite mine if i've actually paid good money to have them look so nice.

There's this solution that you can get which is supposed to help stop you biting your nails. You put it on them and it tastes absolutely vile, hence it puts you off.

A friend of mine quit after i bought her a manicure set. Having them look nice gave her the willpower to stop.

Wear gloves?
