| | | Tips to stop biting your nail
I've been biting my nails since I was eight. I want to stop, and I've tried to stop; but, I've always failed at my attempts to stop biting my nails.
Does anyone have any tips to stop biting your nails? I can usually go a week and a half without biting them, but once they get too long, I just tear them off with my teeth. |

I used to bite mine when I was little, but my gran told me that snails would grow in my mouth if I bit them anymore so now mine are pretty good  |

| | | i think splurging on an expensive manicure might be the best way. you won't want to waste all that money by tearing up nails that you've paid a lot to look so nice. i still bite, and i hate getting manicures - they make me really uncomfortable for some reason. i don't like strangers focusing so intently on my hands and ripping at my cuticles. when i was a kid, my dad would put hot sauce, tobasco or the like, on my fingernails. but i just grew to enjoy the taste of hot sauce. |

i used to have horrible nails up until a year ago. i dont remember what, but i was doing something continuously where my hands got dirty, and i couldnt really mess with my nails. so they grew a little to my surprise, and i slapped a little polish on them. with the polish on, they grew and i havent bitten them or messed with them since. and even when they break, im so out of the habit that its easy just to leave them.
it takes just one time of having them grow a little and you'll be ok  |

| | i've been biting my nails since as long as i can remember but recently they were getting shorter than ever.  i really don't like how short nails look either so i put black nail polish on them (which looked so stupid considering how small they are!) but it's the only thing that seems to work. they've grown out a bit now, i just have to keep them painted or else i'll start again. |
