getting better eyebrows

I hate mine. They aren't overpluckek though. Naturaly my eyebrows are TERRIBLE. sooo ugly. they're really bushy but yet kind of sparse (or at least it seems like it because I have blonde hair I guess...) and have no shape to them whatsoever naturally.

so I pluck them a little bit. sometimes I get them done at a salon just to get a good shape.

But I really hate how short they are! They say your brows should extend a little beyond each corner of your eye but mine stop at the corner of my eye and they also don't really make a nice rounding shape above my eye. They don't go down at the end you know? they're kinda straight.

I hate them so much because I love nice eyebrows!

Is there anything I can do? Is that Talika Lipocil stuff any good?

they make me sad

I'm not artistic either

I suck at drawing in general so I'll definitely suck at drawing eyebrows on my face... I'm not good at make-up stuff at all... I don't use a lot of it any way.

I'd rather have them naturally nice because I like the natural look and I'd just feel bad if I had a boyfriend and then he'd discover at night after I take off my make-up that I don't actually look the way he thought I looked... lol. I'm weird.

I'm probably obsessing over my eyebrows way too much though. nobody has ever really made comments about them so I guess they're not as terrible as I think they are. I just can't get over it.

so superficial I kow. I hate myself for it.

the ONLY reason i grew my brows back was because i felt like such a fraud? i still do now because i wear SO much make up and looks so different without it . . . . .<33

but for you it works! You've got the really cool retro look going on. Remember I told you I loved your brows? Even when they were completely drawn on and you still shaved them? You're really good at drawing them on so it didn't matter. And now that you got them grown back and just draw over them it still looks great because it works on you?

Also. your hair is black and that also seems to be a benefit when drawing in eyebrows. somehow it looks better.

any way. I was reading gossip on popsugar.com and there's a pic there of the woman who runs the site and her eyebrows are a lot like mine:

just to give you an idea (cause I don't post my pictures online any more...)

See that color of her eyebrows? it's so weird right? Mine are like that too? I mean, if I were to buy an eyebrow pencil or powder I wouldn't even know which color to get?

My (and her) eyebrows seem kinda greyish?! Is this what they call "salt and pepper"? I don't get it...

i really like her eyebrows, with the colour and everything,
thanks for being so lovely!!
you could try going to a salon or make up counter and telling them exactly whats going on and be like HELP PLEASE?
you could get them dyed to match your hair and things
but i really do love the shape and colour of her eyebrows, they really really suit her face? im not to keen on her actual hair though!

yea...I'm not a big fan of her hair either.

My hair is also this in between color. I'm currently growing it out and I guess you could say it's dark blonde with some honey blonde (from the sun) parts... It sounds nicer than it is. I just want to let my hair grow long and see how the color gets when it's summertime (my hair used to become nicely blonde in the summer). If I'm not happy after summer I'll probably start dying my hair brown and then I'll also get my eyebrows colored brown to match.

And my skin tone is pretty pale.

I should go to the make-up counter thing but I'm kinda embarassed cos then the lady will start looking at my eyebrows and seeing what's wrong with them. it scares me.

maybe I should get a fringe to cover my eyebrows? I had one cut a few years back and it did look good..but I'm trying to grow my hair really long so I'm gonna wait a while...

mine are kind of like that too. An eyebrow pencil really helps, maybe you can just kind of color them in a little and just draw the ends out longer....hope that makes sense.

I've been studying them again (I know. it's ridiculous and pathetic but I cannot get over them. when I watch tv or movies or see pictures I immediately look at women's eyebrows and they are always so lovely. I'm watching all the episodes of prison break season 1 right now and Veronica has such great eyebrows and I was so jealous. I looked up the actress though and in red carpet pics and such her eyebrows don't look that great so I guess it's all make-up and stuff... It made me feel better about mine. lol)

ANY WAY. I was looking at my eyebrows and they're not that terrible I guess but I would maybe like to mess around with eyebrow pencils and/or powders to see whether I can improve them without it being noticeable that I fill them in...

Can anyone recommend me eyebrows make-up? Specifically for that ashy color as in the picture above?

thanks.

P.S.: miss scarlet: was just looking at the photo thread and you look so pretty in those last pictures. your eyebrows look fantastic!!! do you use foundation or do you just have great skin?
I really like your look. you pull it off so well!

Discos & Dragons will become famous soon enough
Mavala Double Lash. It's cheap and gave me growth where I didn't have it before. I wasn't all that careful and got some above my eyebrow, so now I have some annoying little hairs there, so it definitely works. Kind of thickened them up too, which is what I wanted in the first place. My left brow was really sparse and also blonde for some reason (rest of them are brown).

Get a grey or greyish brown pencil, like Chanel in "Blonde" or MAC in "Fling".

I also think my eyebrows are kinda too short, or thin at the end i simply use some pencil to shape them. They look a bit different and lighter without make up but at least my bf doesnt mind things like that

Just don't pluck too much at def don't shave (i guess that was a joke). It's good if you can afford to do them in a salon because they prolly know what looks good on you.

yes. it's matt damon. it's photoshopped though. it's the girl who runs popsugar.com and she did it for fun because it was her birthday I think... hehe

I think my problem is that I look at these women who are dark haired and of course their eyebrows are darker as well and more visible. I love Rcahel Bilson's eyebrows!!

But my hair is blonde and I don't wanna dye it any more so yea..guess I'll have to live with it.
I have an appointment at the beauty salon tomorrow to get them plucked and I'm going shopping so I'll check out some of the eyebrow make-up
