i started doing this by myself maybe a year ago, when i bought professionnal scissors and stuff.

i never did a bad job, it always turns out nice.
the thing is you just have to take your time, don't do this if you're in a rush.

i've been playing with my hair and friends hair since i'm about 13, so practice is a good thing too

i cut my own bangs since the cheap haircut place i go to always does a decent job on my hair but fucks up my bangs. other than that, i wouldnt trust myself. id keep trying to make it even and end up with inch long hair thats really cool that you can and have it turn out good.

i've cut my own hair since i was 15 or so. before that my mom cut it. i've had it cut professionally maybe 3 times in my life.

it's easy (and fun!) when it's short, but now i'm trying to grow it out and cutting it is just impossible. it's about shoulder length, and all i can do to it is trim the front a bit. the sides and back are impossible to reach in proper angles and ways that allow me to cut it without making a complete mess.

i'm going to have to have someone else cut it, but for now it just looks like crap and will have to stay that way for a while.

I cut my bangs myself sometimes, other than that my friend cuts my hair. She cuts all my friends hair and she's pretty good at it. We always make a day of it hahah.

I used to do that, and it usually turned out nice. Then I started getting it done professionally (mostly because I couldn't get the color right myself) and I figured they might just as well cut it too. I still consider it a luxury, though.
We do have professional scissors, and I cut my boyfriends hair.

i always cut/dye my own hair. i just get nervous with hair dressers. they never seem to listen or give me what i ask for.

My sister cuts her own hair and mine. I think I'd be rubbish at it.

I don't do anything fantastic. I just trim it when i get bored really. I don't do a fantastic job, but it's cheaper and my friends always compliment me on my hair if i change it a bit more drastically so i can't be doing it too bad!

i wish i could cut my own hair. ive trimmed it a bit, but my hair is curly so you can never tell.

hairdressers never listen, they just do what they think looks good, or the one thing they can actually do well. ive had some bad haircuts where i looked like i was butchered afterwards. they were so bad i cried for days.

That if you get someone to help with the back, you should explicitly ban them from shouting 'oops!' for their own amusement.

ive cut my own hair a few times, it didnt look bad. not amazing and stylish, but whatever. i think its fine, you just have to realise its only hair and if it goes wrong its not the end of the world and you can always go to a hairdresser and say 'err my little sister attacked me!'
hairdressers charge way too much for something that you can easily do, especially things like fringes!
saying that, over summer i went to a small hairdressers, and getting a fringe cut cost £2!

I would never want to cut my own hair without having the proper years of training to do it. Anyway how can you not love going to a fancy salon and getting the exact hair you want? All these people that use these little Dollar Store/Hot Topic bleaching kits and sprinkle their hair with kool-aid are fucking disgusting, ew. Go rub your body down with Vaseline and make a lil brilliant brunette lumicious color glaze with your shit you sick white trash.

hairdressers are always horrible to me aswell, making comments about my hair and stuff & i'm paying €70+ for it too!
