how to style my hair (pics included)

Ok, I basically have a short haircut with layers and it makes my face looks really full when it's just kinda "hanging down", so I'm trying to add some volume to make my face look thinner. I basically want to style my hair like this:

How do I get this look?

Thanks in advance?

PS: Don't tell me it looks crap because I'm gonna do it anyway

Use mousse and blowdry your hair upside down to get the volume, then i think she probably straightens parts and uses curling tongs to flick the back out. I always did like kellys hair but apparently it's naturally really thick, so blowdrying your hair upside down is the best to get thickness and volume if you're isn't. That would be my suggestion anyway :P

Thank you! Do you think that using conditioner might not be too good if your hair's rather fine? I don't really need it anyway cos my hair's pretty healthy the way it is, so maybe I should only condition it like 2-3 times a week?

Ahmm, adding volume will make your face look fuller. If your face looks full when your hair is hanging down and flattish ; giving volume to it will only make the fullness worse. Do you have pics (of yourself)?
