Right. What lipstick colour should I wear with red hair?

I dye my hair with this colour on the far right:




It's not always that bright, (in fact its only that colour mostly for the first 5 days I have it), but you can get the impression of what kinda of red it is.

I can't figure out what shade of red lipstick to wear with it. Light/dark/hot red?

There must be some other redheads who wear red lipstick out there

I use exactly the same colour! You'll probably find it stays that colour for longer if you use a crazy dye-full shampoo like Trevor Sorbie stuff.

I find only a really dark red works - too bright and it clashes. Metallic colours look awful too, because they clash with the glossiness my hair gets when I dye it.

How often do you dye your hair? And what colour i it naturally?

Ooo i use that dye too. I don't really wear lipstick cos I feel like no matter what shade I use it makes me look clown-like

I dye my hair about once every 5 weeks.

Natural colour is a mousey brown, hence why I dye it.

Eyebrows are a darker brown colour, however. Thank the lord.

I also wear teal/turquoise eye makeup. Just to make things more difficult!

perhaps if you just left them?
great eyes and hair are good but it might be abit much with lips aswell?

I like teal eyeshadow too but I'm naturally blonde so I have to be careful or I look bruised!

I swear by, and live by MAC teal pigment. I've not worn a single other eyeshadow colour for 2 years.

It's fucking awesome, and has gone with the variety of hair colours I've had over the past couple of years. (And a pot lasts forever!)

i agree. especially with green/blue eyemakeup. wearing intensely colourful lipstick will look kinda trashy.

i'm a lighter red, but i find shimmery, pale bronzey colours and darker reds are good. clear gloss is awesomest though.

I have the same haircolour.. Mine is really bright in the sun but I am blonde naturally. Usually I wear dark red lipstick.

I dye my hair a darker more natural looking red but my hair is a natural light red anyway. I usually wear dark red lipstick or a red/dark pink based gloss.

i always thought red hair + red lipstick can go very well together.
