good for the hair or not? i've heard so many opinions.
and i was thinking about buying their volume products theyre advertising now.
I especially want awful_cherry to answer this one.

my hair went from being okay with it to absolutely hating it. i used it years ago and had no problems. then i used it recently and my hair was so dried out. plus i am skeptical of any product that stings a cut on my hand while using it. i've heard it's a terrible product though. too much detergent in the shampoo and too much of a waxy like substance in the conditioner which is how it smooths out hair - by coating it with something instead of actually conditioning it.

i tried one of their shampoos a while back and after about a 1/2 a bottle of it i realised that it was starting to make my hair really greasy

i recommend this new product line i discovered called 'alba' - i found it at central market in san antonio but have also seen it at whole foods. it's a bit pricey but smells amazing and seems to be more natural than one produced by proctor and gamble et al, which are bound to use cheap ingredients.

I haven't used their products in years but I didn't like them when I did. They didn't ruin my hair like fructis did, but it was still unmanageable and dry and frizzy when I used pantene. I used pantene (the smoothing line) for a long time because I didn't know much about shampoos/conditioners, but I didn't realize how awful all those products are until I switched to salon shampoos and conditioners -- I really like the Regis salon brand products, and Redken now since I don't live near a Regis salon. Switching changed my hair from an unmanageable frizzy mess to manageable and shiny and low-maintenance (in terms of efforts for styling). But, I've never used the volumizing line and everyone's hair is different so they could work for you.
