| | | Still wear really strong sunscreen if you're milky white. Otherwise you'll burn and your tan will peel off -- it's better to get a little less color and not risk a burn.
If you want some color without sun, try using one of those lotions with self tanner, like jergens natural glow or hawaiian tropic island glow. |

| | | That jergens turned me yellow around the ankles and feet!!
I lay out 7 minutes on the front, 5 minutes on the back. It's a gradual process.
I don't lay out for long because i get bored.

| | | I used the jergens for light skin (because that's what I have) for a week or so and didn't notice a difference. I bought the Hawaiian Tropic one that gets the great reviews at MUA last night and I woke up darker. So, I'll keep using that one. But I also got the one for medium skin after the light jergens didn't do much, so maybe that's why? |

It's like I absorb the sun's energy, laying out in the sun for a day can put me in a good mood for days. I take my ipod, a magazine, and a notebook and I can stay out from 11-3. I know it's bad for my skin but it feels so good. |

| | The best self-tan ever was Body Shop and they don't do it any more. So frustrating, it smelled amazing, was just the right tone for my skin, was in a smooth creamy lotion that was easy to mix into a moisturiser for a really light tan, and it looked natural and unstreaky. Make them bring it back! |

| | | im italian so i have olive skin and tan really easily, but one thing that made me tan beyond belief was a tanning spray with carrot oil. i think it was some really easy to find brand too like banana boat or hawaiin tropic. speaking of which, hawaiin tropic has a really good tanning oil that comes in a brown bottle with a gold labe. its amazing |

It was just some brand at the grocery store, but it was spray oil with spf 15 and carrot extract. It smelled really good and worked well as sunscreen (at least, I've never gotten burned with it, unless it was my fault for not applying thoroughly enough). The oil is a lot more pleasant to spread around on yourself than lotion, too. Lotion feels cold. |

That stuff? Were you using something for medium/dark skin and you had pale milky skin on your ankles?
Also -- Does it work? I've seen it everywhere and I'm so tempted to buy it, but I don't want to spend around $10 (face & body) on something that doesn't work or makes you orange.

| | | Who the hell would want to fry their skin?
Pale girls look far better, trust me.
But if you really must. Nivea Body Glow (moisturiser/firmer with a hint of self-tan) does the trick. It looks natural and non-orangey, unlike other brands (Johnsons Holiday Skin is bloody awful) |
