I was wondering if anyone has ever gotten a facial peel, or dramatic skin procedure done to their face? I am interested in getting a photo facial (where they use lasers to correct your skin), and wonder if anyone has done it before? Please share your spa, dermatology, or at home procedures/techniques.

Personally, I have blemishes and uneven skin color. The doctor said that it was from dialated blood vessels. She called it keratosis pilaris, but I don't think that's what it is. Basically, they said I needed a photo facial to remove the blemishes. A photo facial costs $1,000.

I would like for the photo facial to be a last resort option, and if anyone can recommend any great creams/procedures/techniques, that would be great.

For a while I got fruit acid peels every two weeks at the dermatologist for my acne. she would open my blemishes with this needle and get all the crap out (eww) and then she put on this fruit acid thing (at first low %, then gradually building it up to a higher %) which burned a lot. (one time it ran down my neck and I didn't notice it so she didn't wipe it of either (they have this special stuff to wipe it off) and the next day I woke up and had this big burn (skin seriously peeled off!) in my neck!! it was so bad!)

any way. it was supposed to help with scarring and the acne itself. I guess it kinda helped but not dramatically. 3 years later I still have acne.
