| | | Are blackheads for life? Are they always going to be there? I know you can scrub them out but after 48hours they're usually back. |

| | | No, they aren't there for Life. But they do take a long time to go away. I had one for almost a whole year. Don't use treatment for them when you get them, use treatment every day. |

| | Stridex Pads everyday.
If you have sensitive skin, start by using it once a day.
Then do it every morning and every night.
It should start to clear up in a few days. |

| | | how would stridex pads eat away at blackheads?
i've heard the best way to get them gone and keep them gone is with an exfoliating scrub. |

i can't even use that stuff like once a week w.out it making my skin feel like leather
scrubs are good
and i pick mine out /squeeze them
they have those tools w. the hole in them
but i can't get it to work
and then there are those nose strips which a lot of people like but they rip my skin off
also really good are those peel off masks

| | | depends what sort of blackhead. if its like a cluster of surface ones, i would reccommend an exfoliator daily on the area, unless if its yr face then use a cleanser daily. if its one big fat blackhead that is looking directly at you, then squeeze that motherfucker out and apply some hydrogen peroxide/acne creme |

| | | are you moisturising obsessively? i had awful blackheads for most of my early teens because i wasn't moisturising after cleansing (I always thought i had oily skin, how wrong i was!) which meant that my skin was having to produce loads of its own oils, which was giving me the blackheads. once i started using good moisturisers day and night mine went away. |

| | | I read recently that a blackhead can stay in the skin for 20 years if you just leave it.
Exfoliating helps, and so does salicylic acid. Always take your makeup off. |

I've tried scrubs, well one, the Biore one, but it doesn't seem to have made any difference so far. I also used those strips you can buy and although they were satisfying to use, they didn't seem to make any difference. Though I wasn't consistentg with use, so maybe I should really try and use them regularly...it's quite satisfying to see what you peel out... |

I've used the stips before & they tend to only get the bigger ones, the little ones seem to escape so I don't really see the point in it.. |

Try making a mask out of uncoated aspirin (coated won't dissolve well) and aloe gel, leave it on until it's dry and crusty, then rinse off. It works best than OTC salicylic acid products in my experience. |

| | | I can't use drug store acne products with salycic acid. They just dry out and irritate my skin really bad. In high school when I had bad acne, those products did NOTHING for my acne except irritate it more.
For blackheads, the only thing that has ever worked for me are the biore strips, because they actually pull the blackheads out. I use scrubs but I don't see how they would actually get the blackheads out. |

| | | Yeah I have them all over my nose and sort of under my lips/top of my chin. They're horrible, I suddenly got a plague of them last year. I always had perfect skin. Sometimes they go, often they don't. Aggravating. |

Stridex Pads are the best thing thats been introduced to my skin!
When Im in the shower though I use a nuetrogena exfoliant with salicylic acid as well.
Both seem to have cleared my skin up in like 2 weeks. |
