Question Getting hair dye to go faster

I dyed my hair a few months back under the false illusion that because it said semi-permanent it would be gone in around 20/30 washes like it said on the box. It's my own fault for putting the dye on then realising that it's for dark hair (I was dying it a dark red) and I'm a blonde (not white blonde but blonde all the same) so I knew it'd make a difference but not this much! So now probably having done double that amount of washes, I am stuck with shit red tinted hair and roots, I'm fed up and want my natural colour back!

Does anyone have any advice on ways to get rid of that horrible aftermath of dye?

From what i was told by a hairdresser, semi-permanent 20-30 wash dye isn't meant to fully wash out. They mean 20-30 washes before you'll need to dye again.

If you want your blonde back i would go to a good salon and look at either having your hair dyed as close as possible to its natural colour and then growing that out, or having the red stripped if that's possible.
