I don't think anything can have a long term effect on them. Some might reduce the pore size for a little while, i haven't found anything to be very good though!

they can't actually shrink the size of your pores, but they can make your skin look healthier so that it APPEARS your pores are smaller.

Poppy Cock is on a distinguished road
the only way to manage large pores is to use a facial scrub, good cleanser, toner and oil free moisturiser...
at least once a week, mask with some sort of pore-cleaning-toxin-extractingness.
if it's really bad and you wear make-up... use a make-up primer under your foundation. this evens out everything... perfect clear skin.

I've been washing my face in the morning with a gentle face wash for a while now and i've found that makes a big difference. I have a shower at night and use a scrub, i used to just moisturize in the mornings but washing has been really good in minimizing pores and reducing oil. Also if you're active during the day and wear makeup i find using cleansing wipes is good. I use them to take off all my make up on the days when i finish school early and haven't got any plans for the afternoon.
