Question itchy eyes

Recently, I have been having really itchy eyes. I can't seem to tell if it's from my contacts, eye liner, or mascara?

- I've never had problems with my contacts before, and when I wear my glasses, my eyes are still itchy
- I have tried wearing contacts w/ makeup, and contacts without makeup - still itchy
- I have tried wearing glasses w/ makeup, and glasses without makeup - still itchy
- At night, when I take off my contacts and makeup, my eyes are still itchy

Also, I just changed my mascara brand. I can't remember what I used to use (blue tube), but now I am using Maybelline (pink & green tube) and I am thinking that this may be making my eyes itch. But not 100% sure.

Any ideas as to a cause? Or solutions to help my eyes get better?

THANKS!

maybe it's an eye infection like conjuctivitus (sp?) - that can make your eyes really itchy.othet than that i don't know what it could be, although sometimes my eyeliner makes my eyes cloudy and itchy, even though it's fine most of the time.if you think it's the mascara, maybe try not wearing it for a few days and see if it makes a difference.

In other news I just switched from a blue tube (volume flash I believe it was called) to the pink & green one and I haven't noticed anything different (except that pink/green mascara is far better) and haven't had any problems at all.

no redness. but they get a bit puffy because i will scratch them so much.

i want to think my eyes are irritated from switching mascara brands. not because the maybelline is bad, i just think my eyes can't handle the change.

and as someone else suggested, i have tried not wearing makeup for a few days, but my eyes continue to bother me.

Maybe it could have to do something with your contacts, do you wear them longer as usual?
If it doesn't go away, I would go to the doctor, because you might need some mediaction or so.

Sometimes I suffer from itchy eyes for no apparent reason. In your case, I think it's the mascara.

I would recommend eye drops if it's really hurting you.

I recommend going to see your optician as it could be an infection. Better safe than sorry I guess.

Even if you have no other symptoms, it could be hayfever?

Are your eyes red or weepy or anything else, or just itchy?

Your eyes might just be a bit dry from air con or your contacts or a change in weather, you could just try some lubricating eye drops?
