my eyebrows are like this;


(not a brilliant picture but the batteries have gone in my camera)

basically i really aren't sure if my eyebrows really suit my face shape
has anyone got any better ideas?

You shouldn't try and shape your eyebrows

You should just pluck to tidy them up, get rid of stray hairs etc

I used to have mine like yours. Then I grew them back which was the most frustrating thing ever, and after years of plucking, it took months and months to get them back - but I'm glad I did. They look better now

okay, thanks - i'm trying to grow them back but it seems everytime i get somewhere, i have something to do, a job interview etc which really makes it hard to have scraggly eyebrows!

i've got really thick eyebrows without plucking them so i feel a bit like noel gallagher, but i'm trying hah.

I do do more than just 'tidy' them, because they're so thick

But I mean I grew them back so I could see their natural shape and work around that

It's soooooo frustrating, though, when all you want to do is have a GOOD PLUCK!!!

It takes an incredible amount of will power to grow back your eyebrows. Between waxes, I look like this

But it is so worth it when they do it

I don't really think you have such a round face, from other pics I've seen of you, but that's just a side note. I don't really don't know what suits particular face shapes. Personally, I think well-shapen brows will add something to any face. But by that I also mean not going too far with it.

It looks like you've overplucked the outer part of the brow and it looks a bit odd compared to the thicker inner part. It might look a bit better if the transition from the thick part to the thin part was more seamless, so that it gets gradually thinner along the brow. That would look more natural to me.

This is a horrible picture of her (try to ignore the hair and lippy!) but her eyebrows are exactly what came to mind when I saw your pic:

yeah, thats what i can see i've done, i overplucked and then of course growing them back drives me crazy.

i've made my sister hide my tweezers haha!

Oooh. Best tip I ever got: sometimes eyebrow hairs just need a trim with a pair of little nail scissors - not for the whole hair to be plucked out

i do that sometimes, i take an eyelash comb, comb the hairs upwards and trim them so they're a bit more even but not plucked as much.

And yeah, I totally feel your pain about having to grow them back. I used to have my eyebrows like yours (I mean the thick-thin contrast), except mine were messier. There was a painful period between me getting from these brows:


(and yeah, it was painful enough looking like that anyway )

But it was totally worth it. And I do all my plucking myself so it's totally possible. But if you're not certain that you can get them the way you want them, maybe a visit to a salon for a wax will give you a shape to work from, so that all you need to do is just pluck strays.

i know exactly how you feel beckster. my eyebrows really don't suit me but i don't have the guts to fully grow them out...and i've no idea how i'd shape them anyway. i just let my beautician do whatever the hell she likes with them.
do you mind if i hijack your thread to get some advice? i'll post a photo tomorrow because i can't even contemplate posting without make up on..and i'm feeling rough right now and i'm not gonna doll myself up for kr, lolll.
