It is
not legally required that cosmetic items are tested on animals. In fact,
it is illegal to test these things on animals in the UK
So how do people like Procter & Gamble get round it? Their products are produced in other countries and imported, or else they employ other people to do the testing for them

It
is true that it is legally required in the UK that
drugs are used on animals before people can use them. Which is quite obviously absolutely senseless as you don't need a physiology degree to see that human beings and rats/mice/rabbits' bodies work rather differently, but now I'm getting off-topic.
