Co-Op's own brand of cat food....GOD what a lifesaver. I stopped giving my (fussy) cat Go-Cat when I found out they were owned by Nestlé down the line... and as a bonus, it's animal friendly...their shampoo's really nice, too.

For cosmetics it's great, because my favourite products are from LUSH and Urban Decay, both very animal-friendly.

On an animal-rights/vegetarian theme, did u hear about the mars bar thing btw, that they were going to re-introduce animal fats so it wouldn't be veggie anymore? there was so much pressure, they couldn't in the end.

Anyhew,
What do u guys usually stick with company wise now?
I'm pretty stuck on Nivea now and gonna have to order make-up off the net. don't think I can afford the big companies that don't test and have a fixed cut off date.
I used to use Tesco, but they don't have a fixed cut off date.

This is terrifying!! I mean, I am trying so hard to be animal cruelty concious but its getting harder.

I mean I use vaseline, nivea, herbal essences, colgate, gillette, l'oreal makeup, rimmel make up....and its all bad.

I would use more Lush and Body shop as i prefer them by miles buy its just the money. I think when my student loan comes in I may replace all my skin care and haircare products.

Tesco have started a natural range, I hope its ok as it looks really nice.

Nives is fine. I use that.
but you're right it is difficult. I had to learn not to beat myself up about it if I get something wrong, you can only research so much! Try your best that's the motto.

As I say I think Tesco doesn't use the cut off rule so some ingredients in the past might have been tested for new products...

Yeah. Well, I think I may just have to keep on searching lol. Or just stick to body shop/lush for skincare and mac and urban decay for make up.

Whats the story with Benefit? do they test on animals? I dont think i saw them on the list but i may have missed them...
