a huge part of me agrees with this, a huge part of me doesn't, and i don't know which side is going to win yet. i'm in a complicated sort of relationship where we've broken up on several occassions in the past, and this time he's really fucked with my emotions.

at what point do you give up on the man or woman you're in love with and step off the emotional rollercoaster?

Argh, I don't know. This is something really relevant to me right now. My boyfriend and I were together four years ago and he basically broke my heart. Then we got back together a few months ago. About a week and a half ago he broke up with me out of the blue, saying he didn't see us having a future any more. Two days later he was full of apologies and regret, saying he'd made the biggest mistake ever and that he loved me and so on. So now we're back together again but taking things really, really slowly.

Half of me thinks I should just end everything now and even though it'll be horrible I'll probably save myself way more heartache in the future. And half of me knows I just can't do that.

If a boy finishes with you, cheats on you, hurts you etc..finish it, DO NOT GO BACK.

if you keep forgetting your partner, he'll think is right to treat you bad because you're going to forget and forgive everytime.
people should respect themselves more, no matter how much they love their partner.

Personally, I would not forgive cheating. Even if I did manage to salvage a relationship, it would be brought up in every argument until it was completely worn down anyway.
