| I'm not sure I believe in it if I try to just picture it on a large scale.
idk, maybe my idea of the soulmate is a bit off but do you mean it like that one person in the whole world who is meant for you and has the deepest connection with you sort of thing?
Because if it's not just that one person, then I guess maybe in theory there would be any number of people who might qualify as your soulmate, and the key is being lucky enough to encounter one of them in life.
And if it is like that one person, then you're looking at pretty long odds of encountering them out of all the 7 billion people on this planet.
But from a less rational and more romantic point of view, idk, maybe?
I think of a soulmate as being like someone you're totally in tune with in every way but to me that sounds like a bit of an echo chamber situation. Enjoying exactly all the same things, having all the same opinions, just being the same kind of person with the same wants and needs and everything all round. No challenge, nothing that opens your eyes or puts you outside your comfort zone, nada. I don't think that sounds like some sort of brilliant thing like everybody talks about.
So, as I say, maybe my concept of a soulmate is off. |
