Hi, ill try explain this as best i can without waffling too much .. my story is i was in a relationship for 11 yrs, engaged but all ended, met my soulmate shortly after and love him to bits, we together now 2 yrs, i found out in feb i was pregnant, he has 2 kids from previous lady he was married to for 13 yrs. he was not at all happy about pregnancy although we had talked about it n both wanted kids together just bad timing i guess, i have been through the mill d last 3 mths, he wanted me to have an abortion. i disagreed babies r precious, so i am now 16 weeks n healthy as i can be, he has come around d last month n now says he wants me n our baby. but i found out a month ago he asked his ex to taake him back. god im so emotional all the time i cant think straight.. i know hes a good dad, so much going on for him right now, yes sounds like excuses but i dont think i can get passed this with him, he wants us to put it all in d past n have a life together. any advice, opinions, wud be so so much appreaciated

Well I had a relationship for seven years and it took me ages to get over it, in fact I don't think I am still.

Sounds like he still loves his ex, and has kids with her so that's a bond that is never going to be broken. They will always be in each others lives.

Can you tell us more about how you found out that he asked his ex to get back with him again?

i was also in a long relationship but i did not have kids with him althought he wanted kids, i just was not ready.

I know its difficult for him, he has other stuff going on like, his folks are sick at d min they old too. his kids keep asking when is he coming home and she filed for seperation 2 months ago.

but i also have stuff going on, i have my own mortgage family stuff etc..

I found out he asked her to take him back through mutual friends, she told them, knowing it would get back to me. making him look pathetic and me also. this is my first baby and i havent enjoyed one minute of pregnancy, ill resent him for that. dont know what to do.

This is a difficult one. Maybe she is trying to sabotage your relationship with this man? Have you spoken to him about it, why he did it? What did he say?

Sometimes you have to let go of things that have happened, and if you truly believe that this guy wants to be with you and your child, then go for it, if you can. And only if that's what you want.

Try not to be scared. If you love him, you should try, I think.
