Yeah I'm making one of these...

Minus the whole "butt loving" of last year.... which is not even relevant to this, so don't be immature and bring it up...

We broke up. It was mutual at first, but then I changed my mind and now it doesn't look like he's giving in. It has been almost two years and any friend would tell you we had a healthy relationship and that this is rather sudden. He seems pretty dead set though and I'm a bit shaky, teary, and messy.... I am at the point of feeling numb and it seems like close friends are showing grief more than I am.

Anyway... what is the most rational way to get him to realize that this is abrupt and can be fixed?

He is a bit of a moody mess and unstable in general so that makes this harder.

No?
That was months ago and did nothing to affect our relationship, believe me.

I just would like sound advice because he still is my best friend and vice versa even though he said he needs at least a week on no conversation with me, which is understandable after a break up... you're not going to exactly want to converse with the person if you want to end the relationship for awhile.

The fact he stills wants a close friendship with me is good news enough to give me hope in this, and also in the fact I've always been rather dominant... I don't know about it working in this case though... hence sound advice needed.

Anywho, a friend of mine basically freaked out at him because she is very close with both of us and very confused and all he had to say to her was that he was done....

I never know with this kid.

best friends can't happen anymore.

i mean go ahead and try it because you're not going to take my advice anyway but until you guys are WAY over it. and i'm talking WAY OVER IT. there is no way.

someone will always be more attached than one person.

but to me he just is sick of your ****. welcome to me at 23.

Yeah, I really should have been sick of his as well long ago, but I have bursts of extreme amounts of patience... and with him my patience was somewhat eternal. I guess that's love though.

And, I do understand what you're saying about how it's impossible to be best friends when the feelings on an emotional level aren't mutual... if we're not back together by the end of say, 7 days, I'll just have to see how the friendship will go through my own experience... but see, I'm hoping on this 7 days of being single to not happen in the first place.
