Well, the idea was that he'd do the texting or calling to let me know when talkies can happen.

TBH I'm not a big fan of convo via text. I don't really like it. I only fire off texts if I have to, like if I'm meeting people and running late, or it's potentially a stupid time of day to be calling, or if I'm flat out not comfortable enough with folks to call them (which is probably most people, as you know).

I don't like sending them and waiting for a response either. And I don't like being sent them and knowing there's someone at t'other end waiting for a response.

NO to texting.

Cricket, my boyfriend didn't have the internet for two weeks or more after he arrived in japan so he could only email at work, and it was hard, but it made it SO AMAZING to speak to him in real time on the phone when it happened again. Black mambo that's really rubbish about not hearing from him for over a week, hopefully when you do hear there will be a VERY good reason. I wouldn't text because I am stubborn and afraid of appearing too needy, but my relationship advice isn't always the best to follow!

This is a good thread, it makes me feel a bit better to know there are other people in the same situation as me. Like, a lot better.

I'm in japan at the moment with my boy, I met up with him in beppu the day before his birthday after two weeks of travelling on my own. Before I came I was worried that I would have a bad time travelling and blame it on the boy without being able to help it, which would spoil stuff when we met up, but because my travels were so awesome, seeing him has been even nicer. Looking back, I think it was a good idea to travel first because at the same time as showing my independence and getting some cool stories to tell him, the fact I came to japan also shows him how much I like him whilst he is at work I am going on day trips-atm I'm on my way to ibusuki to see a volcano and go to some hot springs, and see the kamikaze museum at chihan

I can't see my last post on this thread? Hope it came up and this one doesn't look like it's starting out of nowhere, I'll have a look later. Anyway, in short...I'm having a great time here, I thought me and my boyfriend would get on each others' toes sharing the same small apartment but it's the opposite. And as people have suggested on here, the sex is a-m-a-z-i-n-g. He's coming back to England to see me at Christmas soooo happy

i don't think i can fly to see the boy this month. i just totaled a car saturday. and my land rover needs to be repaired. so, no money. i am thinking about moving soon. but, i hate cold weather.
