Long distance relationship thread

so, girls and boys, what's up? i was wondering how it is going for you?
I'm still far from my man, buy maybe not for a long time anymore. i'm looking for a new job and there are 2 options:
1. i manage to get a job in Paris (2h20 by train from him; so we can see each other every week). i'm waiting for the answer for a golden job over there. i had 3 interviews for that job yet! i want it so badly
2. i'm moving to his all-man-flatshare. the good part is i will be living with him again. the bad part is i won't live ALONE with him and there will 3 other phD students too!

Hi Lucile! It is nice that your ldr might be losing the ld soon and just become a normal r. Not so sure about your option 2, I guess find out how annoying his housemates are first. I might feel a bit weird about moving into an all boy house where I only know my boyfriend, but I guess every situation is different. Good luck with the job application, fingers crossed.

Things with my boyfriend are going quite well I think, boy came back for Christmas which was supersuperamazing in all the lovely ways that people suggested EXCEPT MORE SO. It is unfortunate that the first boy I go out with who is good at sex is the one who decides to go and live in Japan for a year. He has been back there for six weeks, though it doesn't feel like it has been too long because I've been really busy. I do miss him lots though when I talk to him and also when I am a bit sad and want a hug. I'm not sure where we will both be next year, he's applying for an MA in Leeds in the same subject as I'm doing now, but I don't have time to write a PhD proposal. It's a shame because I'd have quite liked to have gone to study in Leeds... Next year I will either go back to Nottingham and try to get a job, whilst living with friends and writing a PhD proposal, or maybe live in Leeds with boy. I'm not sure though because after not seeing him for a while it migh be kind of intense to move in with him, and I really really really don't want to mess things up. What do people think? Not that it's make or break on KR advice, I just wondered.

I made him a valentines and also 'we've been together for a year WOW HOORAYYY' card because both of those things happen around this time. I also cut out lots of crosswords from the paper and posted them off because he said he misses crosswords, but doesn't want to download them because he likes the feel of newspaper paper. I am worried because it sounds like he is planning something bigger for me, but I don't know what, and my crosswords and card might look a bit measly in comparison. Hmm. But he has a job and I don't so maybe it is ok. In summary: things are still going quite nicely. I hope everyone else is well

I'm a ****ing genius, you know.
