I just recently found out that my boyfriend still talks to his ex when he's told me otherwise. I don't really understand his reasoning for lying but he's lied to me in the past about other things that seemed small. I just tend to overthink them if he feels the need to lie maybe there's a bigger reason.
Also, I didn't find out in the most tactful manner. I was bored one morning and looked through his phone, I saw her name and was really just surprised. It was on the same day that he was trying to call another friend and I saw her name on the phone so I asked him why he still had her number? His answer was- why not. He later then confirmed that he doesn't talk to her or call her. When earlier that night he had spoken to her.
Am I allowed to bring this up without making myself out to be a creepo for looking through his phone?

it's normal to still have someone's number i tihnk, i have both my most recent exes numbers still, if only so that if they call me i can go UGGHH and not answer (well, one more than the other i spose), but kind of lame for him to be shady about it

i think instead of doing it all confrontational style and coming off like a jealous nutso gf, you should just be like, so how's bladeblah? or so do you hear from blahdeblah much? cause that's not so creepo and a bit more neutral

They all lie about it because they secretly want affairs. As I heard some one say once: cheating with an ex isn't cheating cause you've been there already.

I say forget about it and concentrate on being the best girlfriend he's ever had.
