Question Therapist Suggests I Should Ask Out My Teachers

Hey guys,

so Im 18 and in college now and it's hard work and all that. I have a guy that I am dating right now but he sucks for reasons I wont go into. Im only going with him b/c he pays for the dates, doesnt pressure me into doing anything.

My therapist says I should dump him after Christmas (which sounds like a good idea so I can still get my present).

He started to ask me how I would feel about dating a guy who was older than me, say 27.

I said "no problem at all.

Then he said "How about 35?"

and I said "again, no big deal"

and then he goes "how about 40?"

and I said yeah, Im completely open to it and would actuallly prefer it b/c we would have more in common, have the same mature goals, be more intellectual, etc. ( I didnt go into how dating an older man has been my dream forever but I made it quite clear I preferred it)

and he suggested after my semester is over I should ask out one of my teachers.

And I thought "oh man I would absolutely not have the guts to do that, isn't it against the rules anyway"

and he said no it's not after the semester is over and that I should start flirting and "sending signals" and that men aren't stupid and they like that and then I should suggest later on we go out on a date sometime.

He said I have nothing to lose and that Im a very special girl and that Im totally out of the leauge of the younger guys my age (which I agree with)

I get a long pretty well with my History teacher and I know he's divorced so should I try him? What do you think?

therapist was obviously scoping you out for his own business, but then back-pedalled because he got a bit chicken. you should go for him because you like him.

how is scientology working out? this could be win-win because scilons are anti-psych so you could end the therapist-client relationship and be free to date him.

He's 21 but he DOES NOT look it or act it. he's very immature and not very bright, aloof, and kinda emo.

but polite and pays for stuff.

No, I will not even kiss him. I dont want to kiss anyone around my own age i just tell them i don't believe in pre-marital kissing.

well see he's a psychologist, not a PSYCHIATRIST, he doesn't have anything to do w/ prescribing drugs.

I am still reading Scientologist literature and apply it's principles to my life. He knows this and is okay with it. He thinks it is a positive thing because it has helped me tremendously.

Should I honestly tell him I think I should stop seeing him just so we could date? How do I even know he was REALLY scoping me out?
