I don't agree that your first is always the best or most powerful. I guess I've only had two but the situations, the attitude I took going into the relationships and the men themselves couldn't be more different. This one so far has more power to it, there's more of a maturity about it.

i mean when me and "him" split i wasnt even upset... i was actually repulsed by him. He took the piss for 2 whole years. He was the shittest boyfriend ever but for some reason i loved him.

I think (hope) it just takes time. My first love is the only time I've ever been in love with someone. The guy I just got with is the most incredible man i've ever known and he's so incredible to me. He's already told me he loves me but I just can't do it. i don't feel it yet. I guess that's a comparison but it's not about thinking how I felt with someone else. It's knowing that something so special is growing inside of me - no, I'm not pregnant! - but I don't want to rush it. It's frustrating sometimes thinking that one day I'll feel for him what I did for the other, why not now?! But it's all about the journey there. This is just as beautiful as being in love itself. All this excitment and discovery. Don't compare and wish it away, enjoy what you have and get excited to see what happens Xxx

Don't know if this will make a diference to your guys but I really did take my own advice and it's changed my relationship. Not only that, helps that he's increible and we've talked through a lot of things. But I've just been enjoying being with him and really am excited for everything that is to come. And you know what, I've had one of the best weekends ever, just hanging out, sleeping, making food, him meeting my mates and me his, kissing, waking up together, went for a walk and kissed in the rain, played music, and wow, seriously, stop thinking and worrying about it and just live it Xx

I've never had love in my life and I'm not sure I ever will but this guy I fucked compared me everytime to his previous fuck buddy and it was annoying and hurting as hell.

I don't think I've ever been in love. It's always been more of building up this image of my "ideal man" in my head, and then matching a face to the name (for lack of better words.) I've called it love at least three times, but looking back on it, I think it was more of an infatuation & loving the idea of being in love. I've spoken to a few people about it and they've told me they've experienced the same thing, soo. Good to know I'm not schizophrenic.
